Thoughts

As I get ready to write my next article, I'm wondering:

Why is it that being Christian in this country, at least in title, is synonymous with being moral? Why can you say "I have Christian values" and be considered basically good, yet saying Jewish or Muslim values falls noticeably short? Or saying I'm an atheist? Is morality tied to the Christian God only, or to God at all? Can one be without religion and automatically without morality and values?

Its probably because our country was founded by "honest" Christian men who had excellent values and pristine countenances. And that has been the standard, the majority in our country for the ages. It's just another form of racism against the smaller less popular beliefs. I personally am not religious and choose so simply because people have really lost sight of what it means to be an honest good Christian. Too many people are doing bad things in the name of religion. Too many people are claiming to be Christian yet these are the same fuckers who flip me off if I drive too slow in front of them. The same ass holes who throw a fit at the supermarket because the cashier tells them they can't check out their ass loads of groceries thru an express lane. I don't want to be associated with people like that in anyway shape or form so much so that I don't even want to have the same religion as they do. Does not having a religion make me a bad person? I don't feel like I'm a bad person and who is anyone to judge me anyway? They can't. No one is powerful or pure or clean enough to judge me. Not on this earth anyway. People tend to make a big deal out of things when they are scared. They like to point fingers at the things around them to draw attention away from their own obvious flaws. And that's what has happened with a majority of "down home honest Christian." They are really not actually certain what it means to be a Christian and how they are suppose to act. They are just a bunch of lost sheep with no shepard. If you have no path before you, you can't be lost. I have no path before me, no footsteps to follow. I'm winging this thing one day at a time. Does my way make me any less moral? I am without religion and I dare anyone to try and tell me that I have no morals or values. I'll show them how moral-less I am by sticking my foot up their ass! How's that for morals?!
